Yee Lam (Elam) Lai, is passionate about educating and playing harp music as a language to share, to touch and to move the audience's souls.

Elam received her musical training at Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts with Ms Barbara Sze. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in HK, Elam pursued her Master’s degree and Artist Diploma with Prof. Florence Sitruk in the USA and Poland. During that time, Elam traveled around Europe and the USA, studying with harp masters and performing in concerts.

Elam was the principal harpist of the IU Jacobs School of Music Conductor’s Orchestra. She was a First Prize Winner of the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition 2018 and International Music Competition Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso 2018. In 2019, she was awarded second prize in the Rodrigo Harp Concerto Competition organized by the IU Harp Department.

As an educator, Elam took up the duty of being the advisor on the Classical Music Program of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Jockey Club Yin Yuet Youth S.P.O.T., and partnered with the Irish Council in promoting classical music among local youths.
